2015 Announcements from Funding Exchange

Calendar 2015 We’re happy to announce that Funding Exchange will offer our full complement of workshops and webinars in 2015, starting with a Grant Writing Intensive in Anchorage NEXT WEEK.

We still have a couple of spots available, so register now if you need grant writing training, as there will be NO MORE Grant Writing Intensives until March while we relocate the Funding Exchange office (more about that below).
We will offer a full schedule of training in 2015, which will include these webinars:

  • Sustainable Pathways: Developing a Financially Healthy Organization (3-4 webinars)
  • Grant Writing Overview (3-4 webinars)
  • After the Award: Grant Management & Administration (3-4 webinars)
  • Managing Conflict in the Workplace (3 webinars)
  • Board Basics: Managing Well (3 webinars)

Check our website for more information about the classes and to register.

In addition, we’re working on a new workshop this year only for those who have taken our Grant Writing Intensive – called Creating Federal Proposals. Watch for this workshop to be offered in the latter half of 2015, and check our website for all webinar and workshop dates and prices.

I’ll add you to our announcement list. Thanks!

Retreat Center 1  New Meeting & Retreat Center

And finally, we’re very excited to announce that Funding Exchange has taken on a project to provide a meeting and retreat center in Alaska, and we wanted you to be the first to know! This will be a project we hope to have available for rental beginning in 2016, but I want to share a few details with you now:

We’ve recently obtained property in Soldotna, Alaska directly on the Kenai River that will provide meeting space for groups to meet onsite in a retreat setting. We’ll spend the next year preparing it for public use, and we plan to offer at least one session of our Grant Writing Intensive there each year.

We’ll be partnering with B&B’s and lodges in the area to provide housing and catering for groups using the retreat center, and if you want, you’ll be able to end your meetings each day with some time on the river – either fishing from the on-site fishing platform for salmon and rainbow trout, or just enjoying the wildlife on the famous Kenai River from the viewing benches below the retreat center. Watch for pictures and more details on our website as the remodeling commences.

As part of the new retreat center project, Funding Exchange’s virtual office will also be relocated to the Soldotna property. For now, our mailing address and phone number will remain the same, but watch for it to change over to local Soldotna numbers some time in 2015. We’ll make an announcement on our website when that happens.

Thanks for continuing to support our efforts to build capacity in nonprofits, tribes and agencies. I look forward to renewing and strengthening ties with you as we move forward into 2015.

Happy New Year,

Sharon Gherman, FEI President & CEO
