Welcome to the Funding Exchange.

Within these pages you’ll find nonprofit capacity-building help of all kinds. Whether you need a grantwriter, assistance locating grant funds, or help planning a project, or you want to learn to write proposals, manage your grant projects or build a healthy fundraising plan for your organization – we have a cadre of talented professionals ready to assist you.

We’re located in Alaska, which may seem like a long way away from your organization. But the qualities that make us Alaskan — resourcefulness, creativity, and perseverance — are the qualities that make it possible for us to offer high-value products and services to nonprofit organizations, tribes and agencies across the United States.

Funding Exchange is here because we love helping dedicated people build healthy organizations in order to do their good work more effectively – whatever their ‘good work’ is. We hope you find the information located on this site to be – like Alaskans – straightforward and practical.     • Holly, thanks for leaving a message. The November 12 class didn’t reach the minimum registration level, so we’ve just made the decision today to cancel it.

      Do you specifically want to attend a webinar training? The reason I ask is that we’re currently recording most of our trainings to be downloadable on demand from our web page beginning in early 2014.

      We expect the cost to be slightly less than the cost of our live webinar training (probably $350 vs. $400 for the live webinar training) and The Art of Grant Writing will be included just as with the live webinar. Each of the four webinars is recorded exactly like the live webinar, and the file downloads as a presentation with voice over – you just click on the file and it starts. We hope to have the Grant Writing Overview available online before the end of the year – it will be the first training we offer online.

      We expect to offer live Grant Writing Overview webinars about 2-3 times a year starting in 2014 as well. If you’d prefer a live version, just let me know and I’ll email you as soon as our training dates are set for 2014. These classes are usually scheduled as four 90-minute webinars – two days one week, and two days the next week.

      A third option would be our Grant Writing Intensive, which is offered 3-4 times a year in Anchorage and Fairbanks, and as a sponsored class in the Bush and across the U.S. This is the same training as the Grant Writing Overview but in more depth and offered in a face-to-face format in five days (M-F), and you actually practice while you are learning and complete the week with a written grant proposal. The cost for this class is $999.
